Fowler Monument
A bronze replica of a steam-powered plough was moved to the park from the garden of
Pierremont, which belonged to Henry Peasexliii. The model was made in memory of John
Fowler whose design of the original instrument, on which this model was based, had won a
first prize at a royal showxliv. Fowler, who died in 1864, was married to one of the daughters of
the former M.P., Joseph Peasexlv.
