Fountain
A fountain was installed inside the park, on the edge of the sub-tropical garden near the ornamental lake, having been originally erected in South Pierremont for Henry Pease around 1872. It was donated to the park by Cuthbert Todd, a builder who had purchased a section of
the Pierremont estate in which the fountain stoodlxxviii. The structure weighs over ten tons, so deep foundations were requiredlxxix. At the opening ceremony, Alderman Crooks said he hoped it would flow until the millenniumlxxx. The fountain is currently not functional.
